In the midst of processing my pain, grief, and loss I've learned the importance of creating balance in life. I've learned to intentionally include fun and positivity in my life and writing. I hope you'll allow yourself to laugh with me, even as we walk through our pain together.

My Story

I’m the single mother of my son, Keven. Keven ended his life on 8/11/2020 but I will always be his mom and share his story. We both wanted to reach out and encourage others, so I wrote a book that shares about his life and our lessons learned together, Keven’s Choice, A Mothers Journey Through Her Son’s Mental Illness, Addiction and Suicide.

My dogs, Chester B and Evo, and I live in Southern California along with my sister, her dog and Keven’s cat and tortoise. We listen to a lot of rock and roll music over here and are diehard hockey fans (Anaheim Ducks Forever!).

Let's Connect!

Even though my story may be different from yours, I think that we all have a lot more in common than we think. I’d love to connect with you, and hope that you will allow me to get to know you as well.

One of the best ways to connect with me is through my newsletter. I’ll be sharing resources and encouragement on topics such as mental illness, substance use disorder, and coping with the suicide of a loved one. My journey has taught me that, for my well being and sanity, I need to be intentional about inviting joy, gratitude, and fun into my life, so I will share lighthearted, inspirational content with you as well.

But, there needs to be something bright to keep things balanced so I will also have fun trivia, sharing tips on writing, inspirational quotes and anything else that seems noteworthy and/or useful.

I promise to keep my newsletters quick to read - so go ahead and sign up here:
