Update on Book

Someone recently told me that when I self-promote my book it takes away from my message. At first, I was crushed and very upset. Then I realized she thought I was promoting my book to make money. If I am to profit off this book, I will have to sell approximately 1,000 books (because I paid to have the book self-published). If I were to sell that many I would be jumping for joy and would start a new project to help others.

The book IS my message. I have to self-promote it so consider yourself warned: You will be seeing and hearing a lot about my book in the coming months here and on my social media sites. It's how you get the book discovered.

Now I am working on “toughening up” a bit because I am bound to get some negative reviews/feedback on the book. It's a reality for most authors.

I’m vulnerably honest about everything I share and admit some things I’ve never told anyone before - so here I am telling “the world”. I just keep reminding myself - the book may help one single person and if so, it was worth it. That sounds cliche, but it's true.

If you would like to be part of my Advanced Reader Team, please let me know. This is how it works:

The launch date is set for April 6 (could possibly change) The goal of the team is to get reviews on Amazon the day the book comes out which will affect the algorithm and help people find my book among the bazillion books out there. In order to do this a team is put together of people who commit to doing the following:

1. Receiving the book in PDF form in advance so you can read it and write a review. You will have plenty of time to read it.

2. On the day of the book launch, purchase the book on Amazon for .99 (Kindle version). This price is only available to the team.

3. After purchasing the book, leave the review you’ve pre-written on Amazon.

4. Step by step instructions will be sent to you for each of the above.

Amazon has two requirements - you need to purchase the book before reviewing it and you have to have spent at least $50 on Amazon in the last year.
